My profession is to make borderless communication a reality between Japanese and English in the forms of interpreting (spoken) and translation (written). My duty is to avoid misunderstandings and to ensure that you experience communication as if it were being conducted entirely in your own language.
Whether in interpreting or translation, I am committed to delivering the true message of the source language with as little “translation-ese” as possible while maintaining accuracy and speed. I strictly adhere to American Translators Association Code of Ethics and Professional Practice.
Interpreting
I offer the following modes of interpreting depending on your needs:
- Simultaneous interpreting
- Consecutive interpreting
- Whispered interpreting
To determine which mode of interpreting is suited to your upcoming meeting, please let me know the number of expected attendees, the formality of the meeting, the format of the meeting (i.e. video/phone conference, face-to-face communication, etc.), the environment/location of the meeting. I would be happy to offer suggestions to make sure that your meeting will proceed as smoothly as possible.
I might also make a few suggestions to make your meeting as successful as possible within your budget.

Translation
Do you have a translation project in mind such as day-to- day business e-mail communication, a product specification, a company web site, marketing materials, or a presentation document? If so, I can help with a wide range of documents for Japanese <> English translation.
For those who would like to confirm my services, please contact me with a request for a complimentary translation sample (a maximum of 250 words in English or 600 characters in Japanese in the source text, please). As an independent translator, I use memoQ 2015. For SDL Trados translation project, I supply TMs in the TMX format to ensure compatibility with Trados.
